- Pre-departure orientation is held at JICA local offices (or the Embassy of Japan) to provide the selected candidates with the details of travel to Japan, conditions of training, and other matters. Participants will watch a video “TRAINING IN JAPAN” and receive a textbook and a cassette tape “SIMPLE CONVERSATION IN JAPANESE”. A brochure “KENSHUIN GUIDEBOOK” will be handed to each selected candidate before (or in the time of) the pre-departure orientation.
- Textbooks in Braille are available for participants with visual impairment.
- ASL interpreters are available for participants with hearing impairment.
