    I introduced what I have observed/seen during the 1984 training course in Japan. Some were sustained, others were not. More could have been done but the management priorities change. Such that? Awithout support, other programs/projects could not be introduced/initiated even though these are important to address the needs of the disabled sector.

Describe your needs and expectations for the follow-up program.

  1. Training in disability fields not requiring age limits-program/project planning, monitoring and evaluation and others.
  2. Conferences, seminars, for a on latest trends in disability.
  3. Technical/Financial support for programs/projects in disability fields focusing on empowerment of persons with disabilities and self-employment for them :
    I only had two two training opportunities abroad. one is under your program in 1984 and latest is May 2004 under the UNESCAP program on disability, statistics. Training opportunities in my place of work is wanting because less invitations are sent by NEDA and other institutions. And also because of age limits required by sponsors. Much to my desire to learn and contribute more, I could

Describe your future plans in the disability field if any.

  1. As a technical staff of the Council, I am assigned in monitoring the accomplishments of all stakeholders that committed to the attainment of objectives of the Biwako Millennium Framework through their programs/projects/services in the 7 areas of concern. The output will be the annual accomplishments compiled into the Mid-Decade Country Report.
  2. I am also a member of the Organizing Committee representing the Council in the Asian Para Games 2005 with the Philippines as host country.
