Intellectual disabilities have some issues such as educational services (how to promote integral education) and employment services (how to secure income for persons with intellectual disabilities or basis for their lives).
This course aims to enhance knowledge on intellectual disabilities to introduce Japanese welfare systems and various institutions for persons with intellectual disabilities and thus to help participants provide better systems in their respective countries.
(1) officials / managers responsible for administration and planning of programmer or services in GO / NGO. (2) staff of GO / NGO responsible for the implementation of daily activities for persons with intellectual disabilities in related institutions such as CBR Center or special school or so on.

The purpose of the course is to provide opportunities for health care professions including prosthetic and entotic technical to acquire knowledge and techniques in manufacturing prostheses and / or orthoses through lectures, practicum, and field tours.
The applicants will learn high loveis of manufacturing of prosthetic and orthotics and will become leaders in their home country, contributing the expansion of technologies and knowicdgs related to prosthetics and arthoties.
(1) will involve in manufacturing prostheses and orthoses and / or education of prosthetist and orthotist after the program (2) have a command of spoken and written English (3) have more than 5 years of practical experiences in the production and / or fitting evalus – lion of prosthcscs and orthoses

1. To obtain efficient and practical theory and technique for the management of a vocational rehabilitation center, a social employment center / sheltered workshop established for the purpose of vocational / social reintegration of persons with disabilities.
2. To have better understanding on the present situation and relevant lows and regulations of employment, rehabilitation and social services for persons with disabilities both national and local levels.
Directors, managers and instructors at sheltered workshops/workcenters or vocational rehabilitation centers who resume duties in glass root levels (such as NGOs) concerning employment and vocational rehabilitation for persons with disabilities on their return.
Be no loss than 28 years and no more than 42 years.

The training course introduces the participants to Japanese rehabilitation system for persons with disabilities and their activities and organizations in Japan, and to provide an opportunity to enhance leadership skills through exchanging ides and information among the participants and Japanese relevant personnel in order to enablethen to further development of their services and further promotion of social participation of persons with disabilities in their respective countries. (1) persons with disabilities who are leaders of governmental non-governmental organization / group of persons with disabilities with more than three years of experience in the relevant field;

OVERALL GOAL / PURPOSE QUALIFICATION OF APPLICANT
This course aims at contributing to the improvement of quality of leaders engaged in therapeutic massage education for visually disabled persons by providing participants with medical knowledge and techniques about massage, outline of masseur license system in Japan and knowledge for management of the facility.
The course objectives are 1) to acquire medical knowledge and techniques about ammo, massage and shiatsu, 2) to gain the skills required to manage a massage clinic, and

3) gain the teaching method skills to educate visually impaired persons.

(1) person engaged in massage (both service and education) for visually impaired persons and have more than 3 years of experience or equivalent, (2) be in the position to train visually impaired persons to be masseurs after this training

To strengthen the DPO (Disabled Persons’ organizations), which are member of Southern Africa Federation of the Disabled (SAFOD), for promotion of “African Decade of Disabled Persons” in Southern African countries Leaders of national Disabled People’s Organizations (DPO’s) actively involved in the mainstreaming and empowerment of people with disabilities, in Southern Africa Federation Of the Disabled (SAFOD) member countries.

(2) To clarify the problems of respective organization in following issues through the comparison of cases in Japan, Thailand and Southern African Countries 1) the socio-economic and institutional issues in empowerment and mainstreaming of PWDs. 2) support measures to improve the access of people with disabilities to socio-economic opportunities to enable them to achieve independent living 3) essential roles and functions of DPOs, such as advocacy, awareness raising on the needs and rights of persons with disabilities in the society

4) Best Practices of disability movements
