TARGET GROUP Persons who are willing to support the self-independence of the visually impaired persons by instructing in therapeutic massage

techniques.
COURSE OBJECTIVES 1. Japanese Support System for Visually Impaired Persons; Understand the history, current situation and the problems of;

  1. welfare systems.
  2. employment and working systems.
  3. education systems concerning the anma, massage and shiatsu.

2. Basic Medicine and Clinical Medicine;

  1. Understand the structure of the human body and its functions.
  2. Understand the differential diagnosis and the treatment of the major diseases.

3. Anma, Massage and Shiatsu Therapy;

  1. Systematically acquire the basic techniques.
  2. Systematically acquire the clinical abilities.

4. Management of Massage Clinics;

  1. Acquire the knowledge and techniques of sanitation and safety.
  2. Acquire the basic knowledge and techniques of management.

5. Pedagogics for Visually Impaired Persons;

  1. Acquire the teaching methodology for therapy and treatment.

Round-trip air ticket between an international airport designated by JICA and Japan, accommodation allowance, living allowance, outfit allowance, book allowance, shipping allowance, expenses for JICA study tours, free medical care for participants who became ill after arrival in Japan (costs related to preexisting illness, pregnancy and dental treatment are not included), etc.
