2nd World Forum on Human Rights

After this first success, a 2nd World Forum on Human Rights will be held from 10 to 13 July, 2006. A scientific committee, gathering all the categories of actors from the field on Human Rights (political, university, lawyers, NGO’s activists, representatives of international organizations…) under Jean-Marc Ayrault chairmanship, member of French Parliament, Mayor of Nantes and President of Nantes Metropole (Greater Nantes), have accepted three main topics for the next Forum : – Discriminations and diversity (in a worldwide context of diversity of cultures – Economic Globalization and Human Rights – Responsibilities and solidarities (which respective responsibilities for the various categories of actors, which solidarities, for what kind of implementation of Human Rights ?
The 20th Nordic Culture Festival for the Deaf
Akureyri, Iceland, 10 – 16 July 2006
The festival’s theme is a combination of introducing Iceland’s nature and culture in conjunction with the sea, the surroundings and elves and ghosts which are a part of the Icelandic folk tale tradition. Festival guests will have many opportunities to travel from Akureyri and see as much of Iceland as they like, make new friends from other countries and experience diverse cultural activities.

Universal Design and Visitability: From Accessibility to Zoning Conference
